Famous for being the pioneers of wind power, the Dutch have recently harnessed another untapped energy reserve: the power of 8–16 people on a pub crawl. Now, thanks to PedalPub Twin Cities, human pistons can pedal giant Dutch-made bikes with a robust barrel at the helm—think a petite school bus made of wood and steel. With eight to 16 passengers pumping, the mobile party can travel up to five miles per hour. A pilot is always on hand to steer the bike along pub crawl routes such as downtown Minneapolis, Eat Street, NordEast, or St. Paul's Randolph Avenue. Other tours trade drinks for scenery. Snacks and personal belongings stow safely in roof racks, and there's even room for an 8-gallon keg.
