Shine Time Auto Detailing
1) very difficult to have someone answered the phone 2) never return my phone call even I have left a voice message 3) told me to arrive at the shop at 9am but he didn't arrive until after 12:15pm (YES, MORE THAN THREE HOURS LATE and could not be reached vai the shop owner cellphone) 4) the carpet/mat was dirty (I can still see the crumbs, leaves, etc) 5) the inside windows were still VERY dirty that I have to clean that myself immediately after I have picked up the car
$285 package - Was told I needed to leave the car 5.5 hours for a 2-hour cleaning, service was terrible. Was "upsold" (for more money) into salt stain removal; this was the only thing I could actually tell was done. No tire dressing, engine shampoo was minimal, interior windows not cleaned (and some white residue was splattered on the inside of the windshield), seats/trunk were not vacuumed, was told car was hand-washed but found dirt all over.
Cheating customers with gratuity for the groupon coupon at time of use.
Did not finish the work they set out to do. Horrible service.
It was very difficult to get ahold of them for setting up an appointment. I had to continually keep calling back. They didn't respond to their voicemail. They didn't respond to their email. When I actually got the work done. It was not complete. They did a good job on the interior and for the main part on the exterior, but the door jams were still dirty. They never did an engine shampoo which was supposed to be part of the deal.
Very hard to contact - dont answer the phone or return calls - did a very poor job - inside winshield still dirty, outside windshield still had bug marks - tires only half sprayed - lost my floor mats and will not return my calls.
Left my car there for 5 hours and it was poorly done. Wash was not good, windows were still dirty, still lots of dirt in cracks in console and throughout. I needed to have my car completed by 3:45pm (after dropping it off at 12:00) and I had to wait over an hour for it to be ready. I wouldnt recommend them or go back. Not worth the $110 I spent. Though I suspect like other groupon experiences the effort might be better if I was paying full price.
I would not recommend, as I thought the coupon would cover all the services, since auto detailing should cover everything, but those people charged me fifty dollars extra for washing the seats. Just like you mentioned in the coupon that taxes were not included, you should have also included that the seat wash was not included. The entire cleaning was costly for me as I paid for the coupon then I also spent 50 bucks for washing the seats. I would not recommend anyone for using groupon's car detaling coupon.
They did a reasonally good job, but I don't think it was worth over $200, as advertised. In fact, my Groupon, plus tax and a $10 tip brought it up to $100. For that much, the windows should have been cleaned on the inside, they could have done a better job on the coffee stain on the passenger seat and they could have got the tree sap off my fender. We have one more Groupon for Shine Time that we'll be using in the next couple of weeks. We'll see how they do on my husband's car.
Had to return my vehicle twice as the work had not been completed the first time.
Was asked to pay unexpected fee of $48 and no final receipt was ever given to me.
In the end, the owner did offer to provide me with a free detailing package in the future. However, I will not be going back.
First of all - it is a trick to get you to buy with a good sounding deal and when you try to redeem it you are told that seats are not included!! So that doubles the price to include seats. You can't get out of it because the groupon is already paid for and you are informed not when the car is dropped off, but later after you leave
Secondly, the dirt on both my car seats were very much visible. Overall a very poor job of cleaning.
From Our Editors
Shine Time Auto Detailing's technicians pick up and drop off vehicles as needed, washing, polishing, and restoring them from their two Mississauga locations. They call upon the aid of products from manufactures such as Car Brite and 3M films, which they use to protect windows and paint from sunlight and to lend cars a mystique without wrapping them in scenes cut from classic movies. The lobbies at both locations amuse clients with high-definition TVs, hot pots of gourmet coffee, and arcade games to sharpen the reflexes of future motorists.
