Jody Minhas and her husband, Paul, had a dream to combine their skills as a motivational speaker and martial artist, respectively, to empower and inspire women. To bring this dream to fruition, they opened a women-only kickboxing studio designed to help ladies not only get fit but also gain self-confidence.
Today, their Ultimate Kickboxing trainers lead groups through a training system that starts off with a warm-up regimen before incorporating calisthenics, kickboxing, and conditioning into the mix. Students strike protective pads during the no-contact classes, which incorporate elements of muay thai to work out the entire body, including muscles that tend to be ignored in traditional workouts. Ultimate Kickboxing also offers personal training, which can be tailored to fit all manner of goals, such as losing weight, learning self-defense, or body slamming a rhinoceros.
