An amazing place! The owner is very nice and knowledgeable. I would definitely come with respect for him, his employees and the horses. If you've never riden before be humble and ask questions, it will make your ride more enjoyable. Wear boots with heels, pants, and gloves. I will be back for more!

If you've never been on a horse or you're an experienced rider, Kirk, the owner will take care of you. The farm is on a beautiful piece of property with many well-maintained horses and facilities. It was a little difficult to find due to a "do not enter" sign just before the farm entrance. Once we got past the sign we found the farm entrance was well marked and very welcoming. I would highly recommend this outing to everyone.

A wonderful experience. The owner teaches the kids how to ride a horse not just following other lead horses

Kirk was easy going, & flexible w terms and time frame. The location took a few minutes bc GPS mad you turn on the street before you're supposed to. The horses were of a calm demeanor, & responded to direction. Be warned ab the smell otw there...

We had a wonderful experience at Highland Farm. Kirk Kamish, the owner and instructor, made us feel welcome right away. He gave us a tour of the farm, explained everything, let us groom our horses and then provided step-by-step instructions on how to properly get the horses tacked up and ready to ride. The horses were wonderful, well behaved, gentle and easy to ride. The riding lesson was fantastic and worth every cent, my 6-year old daughter and I both learned a lot from our lesson, each of us being on different levels with our riding experience, Kirk tailored the lesson accordingly. After the lesson we were allowed to take our horses out to their pastures. We can't wait to come back!

From Our Editors

The instructors at Highland Farm bring more than a combine 20 years of equestrian experience to their riding lessons. Some have studied in Europe, New York, or even served as part of the hunter/jumper team at the University of Wisconsin. Others specialize in hunters, jumpers, and equitation, and have coached riders to compete both locally and nationally. Highland Farm itself was founded in 1992 and now features a sprawling turnout, a lighted arena, and a generous helping of trails. The spacious grounds provide Kirk's riders with plenty of space for practicing their technique of both riding horses and trail riding.
