When caring for an ailing relative, taking care of your own health can become a lost priority. For Brooke Tetik, that couldn’t have been truer. So in January 2011, the then-real-estate agent decided to turn her life around by combating her weight gain and depression through healthy eating and exercise. This process eventually lead her to yoga, which ignited Brooke's passion for fitness and lead her to become a trained yoga instructor, yoga life coach, and personal trainer.
Now, at her newly opened Naperville studio, Sundari Power Yoga, Brooke works alongside several other devoted yogis, including an outreach worker, as they foster mental clarity and relaxation in their clients through Vinyasa-based power yoga classes. During the six sessions offered, Sundari's teachers keep the studio at a toasty 85–90 degrees, which allows students of all levels to stretch deeply into poses. Along with offering power-hour and slow-flow classes, Brooke and her team guide guests through body-toning yoga-sculpt sessions as well as a Rockstar class, which energizes clients with music and yoga poses performed while playing air guitar.
