Good food, good music, good cause. That's the three-pronged approach to fun behind the Atlanta Street Food & Music Festival. The annual celebration gathers hundreds of people in Stone Mountain Park for a indulgent summer weekend. More than 60 of the Southeast's finest food trucks and carts hawk gourmet treats representative of just about every cuisine imaginable. Craving chicken and waffles, red velvet cake, or whole-hog barbecue? They've got it. What about samosas, bánh mì, or Bahamian conch fritters? Look no further. In need of fusion tacos or creative burgers? You're in luck.
And once you've had your fill, you can enjoy the park's attractions or live music from national and local bands (2016 will feature Vertical Horizon and the Atlanta Funk Society). The rocking festival benefits The Giving Kitchen, a nonprofit that provides crisis grants to members of the city's hospitality industry facing unanticipated hardships such as illness or injury.
