No photo Honor Heymann shoots is flat. Through the lens of her camera, textures bloom: a simple woman standing in a window becomes a moving moment of sadness—or furiously triumphant hope. Part of the success of her photos could be attributed to her education at the Fashion Institute of Technology and as a photography intern at InStyle Magazine. But her pictures belie a deeper understanding of the power of the image, with an intuition for emotion and truth that can't always be taught. Among her current gigs, she holds a position as a photographer at couture wedding and engagement photography studio Andrea & Marcus, where her images capture couples in love. She also snaps art photos of landscapes and people who photobomb her pictures of landscapes.
