I bought this groupon because SpaLab seemed to have a good reputation in the press. I want the owner to know how quickly a brand can be destroyed by the incompetence of a staff that doesn't take pride in their work. There are many spas in nyc, customer service and skilled and professional staff are critical to being one worth returning to. Your team botched up my reservations 3 times and didn't even give me excuses. They just shrugged off the fact that I left work to come down there only to be told I had to go home without any services. After I confirmed 3 appointments: 1 had no employees to serve me, 2 got lost in the system and #3 was triple booked. I asked to speak to a manager or the owner. They said they are not managed and they don't have the owner's number! Also, your staff bad mouths clients for the way they were tipped in front of people waiting to be next! Ridiculous all around.

Better reception. I had many problems setting up appointment as either no one pick up, did not return my messages, or their system was down and they could not schedule

Horrible! First they canceled my appointment without letting me know. So I had to go back a week later. Second I asked for a hotstone massage. When I was lying on the table, they told me that they not do that any more. Third the group on was for an hour massage. She was done 50 minutes. Fourth She did the same movement over and over again. Fifth I had a headache for a week. One word it was a horrible experience!

the massage was AWFUL! i tried several times to "coach" the therapist on better technique, but it was clear that she had NO IDEA what she was doing. i highly doubt if she was even certified. she then cut the massage off ten minutes early, which i did not complain about b/c it was so horrible i could not wait for it to end. then she had the nerve to wait at the front after and basically demand a $25 tip. it is obvious to me that this place ran the groupon as a way to get some quick cash into their business and they have no interest in client retention. total scam. i will be shocked if spa lab is open six months from now...it is places like this that have diminished the quality of products groupon associates themselves with and are the reason why i, and many people i know, will never use groupon. again, hands down worst massage and worst service of my life. i could not wait to get out of there.

There is no way I would ever go back! They were unprofessional, disorganized and the treatments were not good or relaxing!!!

Dont charge te customer tax on the retail value of the coupon without also mentioning this in the fineprint.

VERY DISAPPOINTING dear management My name is Makesha Gairy-Newbolt I had an appointment at your spa a week ago. First of all it took a long time (about a week) to even get through to your spa to make the appointment, the answering machine was on continuously throughout the day. It advised me that calls were answered after 11am but when I called back after 11am I was still not able to get through to someone. I sent an email and a few days later my call was returned. When I arrived for my appointment on Saturday morning The shop front was open but there was no one at reception. I called and called and finally someone came upstairs- Maybe the owner, and it was evident that I was not expected. I waited for about 15 mins for the "masseuse" (who was running late) to arrive, which I was fine with. When she arrived I was shown into the room and she proceeded to massage me. She chewed gum throughout and left the room about 4-5 time throughout the massage. About 10 mins before the end of my massage another lady entered the room wearing "proper" masseuse attire and finished me off - literally, she stroked me a few times and the massage ended. I might be wrong but feel that she was the "real" masseuse and that I was given a massage by the receptionist. This is very dishonest practice, it would have been better if you (whoever welcomed me) had been honest and told me that the masseuse could make it for 30-40 mins. This would have been fine as I had the time to wait and would have preferred to have been seen by a professional. As a result I was very disappointed with my treatment at your spa. The service was attentive and friendly, the facial the worst and most uneffective I ever received. When I left, I had mascara smears under my eyes and still some of the mask sticking to my side burns.
