When you walk into Spices and Tease, expect to get a noseful of the combined aromatic bouquet of this French tea and spice emporium. Despite its other locations, the Broadway location is the only one that sports a fully-operational café, which means you can put those lingering smells to the test in a variety of dishes. When you’re done, let tea experts sell you some bulk teas, or just peruse the aisles for rare flavors that have been bottled up and are ready to take home. Rich marigold-yellow walls, eclectic lighting and a wall full of glass jarred spices make this small space look and feel like a modern version of an old world spice market. Flavored sugars – pistachio, bergamot, lavender and espresso, to name a few – are also available, and you can pick up a tea pot, spice grinder and unique salt or pepper flavor.
