With more than 100 years of history behind it, the St. John's University athletics department has earned the respect of rival programs in a number of sports. The past century has seen the St. John's men's basketball team rack up one of the NCAA's highest numbers of tournament appearances, sending 60 players to the pros in the process. The school has also had success in baseball and soccer, making six College World Series appearances and taking home the Division I men’s soccer championship in 1996.
Now, that winning tradition can be imparted to young players—whether they're total beginners or aiming to compete at the next level—through St. John's sports camps and clinics. The university's coaches, assistant coaches, and student-athletes lead the training, which often occurs on the campus's Big East athletic facilities. Programs are available for boys and girls interested in basketball, soccer, baseball, softball, volleyball, tennis, and lacrosse.
