All in all this was a very pleasant and satisfying experience. We were warmly welcomed by a really nice waiter, Andrew, who patiently helped us choose our cocktails, appetizer and entrees. His advice was on point. We had the sweet and fruity blood orange margarita and a refreshing cucumber vodka drink with proseco and lime- Very tart, and it completely quenched my thirst. I loved both!
The chicken schnitzel entree consisted of two large crispy breaded chicken fillets, which contained moist white meat inside, and these were accompanied by delicious, creamy mashed potatoes. The bratwurst was so smoky and tasty and the potato salad and red cabbage slaw had just the right contrasting tangy flavors. The mushroom flatbread appetizer, recommended by Andrew, was amazing. The succulent mushrooms had a rich, deep, hearty flavor-- as if sautéed in wine- fantastic!
The service was excellent !! The vipe was positive and fun. We LOVED the hot pretzel !
Good food. Very nice service. Very friendly staff.
Good dinner, nice drinks, a spot for young folks, but serve everyone graciously,
Very friendly staffs and the pork kunckle was good but my friends complained about other things on the menu that wasn't so good.
Such a great venue delicious food great service.
Come here. They have alcohol, they have booze. Ron
Great service. Yummy chicken
We REALLY liked the generous portions of excellent well-presented German food, and the friendly casual service. It didn't bother the staff in the least that we were a generation older than the other customers. We got used to the graffiti'd Berlin Wall décor and the helpful hostess seated us in the least noisy corner... live DJ on Friday nights. Good value for the food but we thought the drinks were overpriced ($13-14) at regular retail.
Chicken schnitzel dish was fantastic and the drinks were unique and tasty. The giant pretzel is a show stopper and comes with a great dipping sauce. When the waiter brought ours to the table the whole restaurant stared as it being brought across the room.
From Our Editors
The flavors of East Berlin are alive at Studio Kraut, and not just in the food. True to Berlin's reputation as an artistic hub, the restaurant pairs its chicken schnitzel and beer brats with original artwork and live performances from bands and DJs. In fact, the eatery commissioned graffiti artist Kwue Molly to design permanent artwork for the cozy interior, lending the space a collage-like street-art aesthetic.
