Jonathan Fadoul and Jim Becker know what it's like to be super heroes—they played a couple of crime-fighting legends on stage for Disney. And while performing together, they started working out together, and became regular gym buddies. As they helped push each other to maintain their physiques, they got the bright idea to invite regular citizens to their training sessions. So they started Superhero Bootcamp, a weekly rotation of workouts themed around popular superheroes.
During 60-minute sessions, the trainers help students follow in the footsteps of Spiderman with jumping and resistance band training, or build core strength with a series of exercise obstacles in a version of the X-Men's Danger Room. They design each workout to help defeat the star villain of their camp, the evil Muffin Top, who wants to see humanity grow round and soft as revenge for his own bitter past as a saggy ball of dough.
