Three Sheets Saloon tends to attract a competitive crowd. The bar’s 24 HD televisions broadcast live sports from around the country, which explains why displaced fans regularly gather here to cheer on their teams and give each other a good-natured ribbing. The competition becomes more immediate, however, when these fans challenge each other to conquer the bar’s enormous hangover burger. Atop the sandwich's double patties lie extra bacon, extra American cheese, and a heaping layer of cottage fries, which are a lot like home fries, but with a more modest, rustic charm.
Like their counterparts in the kitchen, Three Sheets Saloon’s bartenders don’t seem to know the meaning of “little league.” They pour a full lineup of draft and bottled beers throughout the day, stopping only to cheer on their favorite teams or direct large parties to the private upstairs room, where floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the boisterous scene on 3rd Street.
