Growing up in Italy, Gianluca Deiana found himself in restaurants surrounded by beautiful food, robust wine, and historic sights, such as the Colosseum and the world's largest collection of garlic presses. The addictive energy of those restaurants inspired him to pursue a life in the business, and he eventually went on to graduate from Istituto Alberghiero Arzachena, one of Italy's top culinary institutes. Vitis La Vineria is Deiana's homage to his Italian roots, where he's funneled all his passion for wine, cooking, and Italy into the cuisine and atmosphere of the cozy, bistro-style dining room. There, servers explain the extensive wine list, pairing sips with a menu of small plates, crisp paninis, and classic Italian desserts.
