It was an excellent tour. In a new place they make things so friendly that you feel that you are resident of the city. Our tour guide Alverro was ever lively, knowledgable and explained every aspect of the tour. He made us comfortable. I will highly recommend to have these tours with such nice guide.

The Statue of Liberty .. Ellis Island .. 9/11 Memorial with Take Walks were very informative due to our fantastic guide Robert Yonskie. His knowledge of New York along with his humor and fun facts made this tour very memorable. His seriousness and stories brought tears when hearing about Ellis Island and especially facts about that horrible 9/11 day.

Me & my boyfriend we’re visiting New York for the first time & had booked to do a 9/11 memorial tour. We thoroughly enjoyed walking around the sites & listening to what Rob had to say. The way he told us the information & the passion he had was amazing. I learnt things from the tour that I had never known before & me & my boyfriend both came away thinking what a fantastic tour that was & that was down to the tour guide. I urge people who are visiting New York to go on a tour with Rob - you will not regret it.

The tour itinerary was very good, and the opportunity to go back stage at New Amsterdam and try on costumes was really wonderful. Highest praise goes to our tour guide Jeremy F. He was really terrific, navigating a wide age range and the constant rain to make it a really enjoyable and personable tour. We'd recommend the tour, and especially encourage folks to ask to be in a group with Jeremy!

From Our Editors

Walks LLC founders believe there's too much detail in the city to be absorbed from a tour bus, helicopter, or bicycle basket. That's why they introduce the curious to San Francisco on a micro level. Guides lead walking tours at a casual enough pace so they can truly convey the stories, legends, and detail that lurk beneath the surface of the city. They also host tours that unveil historic and hidden artistic secrets. That attention to detail has earned the tour company praise from numerous publications, including the New York Times and Huffington Post, the latter of which called the co-founder "an encyclopedia in human form.".
