The folks behind NYC Motorcycle Tours saw a curious gap in New York's tourism industry. Of all the ways to see the city—double decker bus, boat, a screening of _West Side Story_—none gave visitors the exhilarating, open-air experience of riding a motorcycle. So, they set out to fix that, first by hiring a team of experienced motorcycle drivers and then by investing in GoPro cameras for helmets.
During the excursions, tourists take in a distinct view of the city from the back of the cycle while their helmet films it all for future viewing. Excursions include a downtown tour that passes the Statue of Liberty and Wall Street, The Uptown Tour with views of Yankee Stadium, and the Bridge and Tunnel Tour that brings Brooklyn in on the fun.
