Mindy Scime, who has been a yoga practitioner for nearly a decade, hopes to share her love for yoga and the relaxation that ensues with students of all experience levels. Her Tree of Life Yoga Studio draws inspiration from the ancient tree-of-life symbol, which represents the interconnectedness of all living things. Through her studio, she strives to cultivate a welcoming environment in which visitors can deepen the connection between their minds and bodies and with others in the community. Atop sleek wood floors and provided mats, yogis work on also connecting their breaths and movements during 60-minute Vinyasa-style classes that start with breathing exercises and end with a period of quiet relaxation. Aside from weekly classes the studio also offers workshops and retreats on topics such as spring rejuvenation, living wellness lifestyles, and how to do a headstand in an office cubicle without kicking your coworkers.
