It was extremely unorganized. There was only ONE water station the entire run & the water was hot. It started raining then storming a little after the run so they made everyone leave, which I completely understand. However, there were a lot of people that paid for VIP & was pretty much told "Too bad." I understand the weather cannot be controlled but in instances like this, a Plan B should have been in place or those that paid for VIP should have gotten a partial reimbursement. It was not a well planned or well thought out event in comparison to others similar in nature.

It was 3.1 miles and not much to do before the race.

Save your money and dont waste your time with this sham of an event. Nothing we paid for was provided and the course was horrible. Was rained out although organizers knew it was going to rain

it was way over crowded.. i thought it was a 5K but my garmin had it at 2.5 miles. it was to support cancer and there were a katon of smokers all around. being a cancer survivor i was appalled they let people smoke in the area. I was not allowed to bring in my water. I carry a camel back bottle all the time. (i need to drink almost constantly due to the bladder cancer and being diabetic) And there was nothing on the site stating that or i would of just grabbed an unopened bottle. extremely unorganized and i will never run it again.

This was the most poorly run race I've ever attended! It was a very hot day so I brought water with me. When we got there, they wouldn't let you take your own water in (even though it was unopened). Instead, they made you buy water inside (no water available for free) and I had to stand in a line for 30 minutes with people buying beer in order to get a bottle of water! And pay $3 for each bottle!! By the time I got my water, I couldn't catch up with my friends, who were already in the starting area--it was so packed there was no way to get thru to them. There was no coral system--it was just a massive pile of people trying to get to the starting line. Then it took almost 45 minutes to get through the crowd to the point where we could finally break free to run! I could only find my friends who had planned to walk, so in order to be with people I knew, I had to walk the course instead of run. By the time we got to any places along the course where they had water for the runners, the water was GONE!! Nothing but empty bottles (a few people got the remaining bottles, which was hot water by that time) and plastic wrapping!! We didnt' get any water til the finish line, where we were told the after party had shut down because of the lightning (I didn't get to do any of the before party dancing and listening to band because I was standing in line for water for 30 minutes then trying to get to the starting line! I heard there were people who never got to race because the crowd was so big that they were still waiting when things got shut down around 10PM. What a joke this was! Total waste of money!!!

No after party because it rained. This is the entire reason I went to the event. I'm very disappointed.

From Our Editors

A night spent dancing to a DJ at the club burns calories and works up a sweat, so why not put the dance floor on a 5K course? That's exactly what Night Nation Run has done—participants run, walk, or dance their way through a race course illuminated by interactive light shows and pumping with electronic dance music from live DJs. After partying through multiple DJ stages, revelers finish at a raucous main-stage after party. Headliner DJs soundtrack the event on the main stage while participants celebrate crossing the finish line as a member of the Night Nation.
