The food and the room was wonderful, and we met some wonderfully fun people too
Great hosts and atmosphere. Food was fabulous
The place has great possibilities, but is for sale right now. Unfortunately, it was pouring rain and there was no one there to greet us on arrival. this was not a good way to start a holiday with guests from England.
Friendliness of staff and other customers. Relaxing atmosphere
The idyllic country setting and the picnic lunch.
casual an d pleasant. Very nice bedroom. Good value. Lovely to tour the Croton area.
Breakfasts were very nice!
Bed very noisy and uncomfortable. Food great
The location was good and owner was very nice. However, there was no air conditioning and we had purchased the cooking class Groupon but was told to just show up for dinner. They realized the next morning during checkout that was the case and didn't charge us any further check out fees. The shower was interesting - hot to cold water balance was dependent on who else in the Inn had just flushed a toilet or was also taking a shower! With some of these items addressed with a little more attention, this would be a nicer vacation spot.
From Our Editors
The ocean makes for a picturesque backdrop to the guesthouses at Foxglove Inn & Gardens. Each one features whimsically mismatched furnishings and a shared porch that looks out across Osborne Bay and beyond to the snow-capped mountains of Vancouver. Some private suites inside each guesthouse have ocean views as well.
Elsewhere on the property, fresh veggies, herbs, and gnome housing developments flourish in the garden. In warmer weather, the inn hosts farm-to-table cooking classes where participants gather fresh tomatoes, basil, and spinach. Then, everyone heads to one of the gourmet kitchens to make fresh pasta, eggplant parmesan, and chocolate-covered strawberries under the supervision of a chef.
