From Our Editors
Photographer Grace Trudeau was a full-time model before she picked up her first Nikon DSLR. Drawing upon her experience on both sides of the lens, Grace gives clients posing ideas and shows them her images as she shoots so they can see how they look. During each session, she wields two Nikon DSLR cameras and a trio of lenses , whether she’s working under the soft lights of her home studio or on-location on a farm, at the beach, or in the woods. At the end of each session, Grace custom-edits images, enhancing colors or injecting textures to add depth. Next, she prints out the resulting images onto canvas prints, statuettes, holiday cards, and accordion books; or transfers them onto iPhone cases, mouse pads, and shirts.
When she’s not shooting and editing, Grace is donating her time to various charities and mentoring beginning photographers. At her studio she teaches them about DSLR camera settings, the basics of shooting, and how not to smear peanut butter on your lenses. She then leads them through a real photo-shoot; and invites them to edit their photos alongside her while she gives advice.
