Chicago Pet Show
For many, pets are members of the family. The Chicago Pet Show serves as a sort of reunion, bringing together everyone from pet parents to rescue groups in order to celebrate this multi-species community. The two-day event emphasizes human and animal bonding through demonstrations and discussions with veterinarians, nutritionists, and local rescue experts. You’ll also be able to take advantage of specials on pet-related products from American sourced food manufacturers and boutiques.
And, while the main focus is on education for new or potential owners, there’s also a spotlight on fun with visits from Jim Nesci’s Cold Blooded Creatures, Mike D’s Magic, and seminars from vendors focusing on pet health and training. In addition, representatives from rescue groups stand ready to chat with guests considering adopting their own pet whether it’s a dog or a parakeet. A portion of the show’s proceeds, meanwhile, goes toward participating shelters and humane societies.
