Cocina Poblana went through ownership change and their quality changed with change of ownership My girl friend had crab dish from which she had to fish crab shells through out her dinner. I had tiger prawns which should be an appetizer dish rather than in course meal.

I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff there on Sunday 14th which was the last day of groupon. Unfortnately the second location closed about a month ago so theturnout in Emeryville was gargantuous!!! i had a 2 hour wait to sit down. The people were getting antsy and and frustrated by the minute however they allowed us to get mimosas while we waited and that calmed some people. But through the whole experience for which nobody staff of patrons was ready, the staff remained courteous and amicable through it all!!! Amazing job!!!

We found out the day we went that the Oakland restaurant had been shut down. I wish i had known. We went to the Emerville one and it was very hectic. Wish someone had notfified us. They were unorganized and there was a wait for such a long time and very unfair. Not sure if I will go back

From Our Editors

Inspired by his parents’ tradition of handmade Puebla and Jalisco dishes, Chef Lito Saldaña created a menu that showcases Puebla’s complex and French-inspired moles juxtaposed with Jalisco’s rich-and-spicy roasted pork and carnitas. While seated in the spacious, colorful dining area, diners can wrap handmade corn tortillas around four types of mole, tasting the subtle difference between Lito’s mother Luisa’s and grandmother Elena’s recipes. To sample Lito’s father’s traditional Jalisco recipes, guests can nosh on the carnitas Don Pedro, a plate of roasted pulled pork served with beans and fresh guacamole.
