Menu was varied. Food was very good. Restaurant was too quiet with few other diners.

Call ahead as their operating hours are limited and the close earlier than other restaurants in the area. Street parking is fairly good.

Vo's has tremendous potential and their food is good. They were understaffed Friday night on First Friday in Oakland! - I just can't understand their business model. Ambiance is good, although we couldn't read our menu as the lamp over our heads was gone/not replaced! ....I think the place is very strategically located on Grand and Broadway and can do "amazing" providing the owners get some help form the local SBDS.

From Our Editors

European, Southeast Asian, and American culinary traditions all influence the unique fusion recipes at Vo's Restaurant. Vegetables and rice get simmered in traditional clay pots and prawns and lemongrass are seared in woks; there's even a deep-fried catfish filet with ginger-infused nouc mam, a dip made from fish sauce. The dining room is as colorful as the dishes, featuring warm red walls, bamboo sprouting from tall vases, romantic lighting overhead.
