Had a reservation the day of the sinkhole. My Groupon has since timed out. Not reopened yet. Looks like I'm gonna end up swallowing my $99 instead of dinner.

Dynamic little restaurant in the heart of downtown Ottawa. Very talented chef pairs great local foods, as much as possible, and offers some truly great palette-pleasers.
We had Swordfish Apple slaw carrot purée
paired with a Prosecco; it was Light and fresh, a touch oily
Then we had a fantastic Green pea soup, with fennel crostini, Rosemary oil pea shoots. This was Phenomenal smooth silky rich pea flavour liquid spring sweet pea!
Paired with an Alsace Pinot blanc 2014 apricot nose NZ wine with gooseberries acid gorgeous Sauvignon blanc straw grassy
Then a great Beets rutabaga arugula orange salad, earthy flavours with creme fraiche sweet pickled.
Warm Arctic char with a blueberry gastric shouldn't work but it does! Paired with a 2014 Argentina Malbec
Duck with Israeli cous cous with foie gras and roast veg with a 2014 niagara burnt ship bay
Beef with potatoes gratin was succulent
Late harvest Pinot Grigio coyotes run
Apple pear gorgeous sweet
Chocolate mousse was smooth velvety with a raspberry coulis
Creme brûlée ok sweet not too eggy light crisp top
Candied lemon peel
Green Tom jam
Chocolate cups ice wine

Several of the dishes were missing components. Service was slow. We waited over half an hour after paying for the cheese plate and it did not include the rosemary crackers and one of the two cheeses was Pecorino Romano which makes no sense on a cheese plate. Even the dishes that were tasty were still lacking in creativity. I would have been upset to pay the actual price for this meal.
We enjoyed our evening. Food was good and service amazing. We found portions to be small in comparison to the cost. Not sure if it's because we had a coupon or it's their usual portions.

Great atmosphere, lovely service and an awesome location. Food is okay-nothing spectacular, honestly not worth it for the price. Strip loin was the main highlight of the meal, everything else was quite average. The whole dinner takes around 2 hours, so be prepared. Had a great evening nonetheless, but would not go back again.
I would recommend Sante Restaurant as overall the food was good.
The first 4 courses (soup, salad, main and dessert) was perfect. The right size and tasted great.
According to the Groupon, the palette cleanser Mango Sorbet was not available and instead we were given bread with cheese... this was okay though the mango sorbet would have been much better.
The cheese and dry bread at the end was DISGUSTING. Very disappointed. Not to mention the award winning wine that was nothing more than a capful.
The waitress was very rigid, not very nice and very abrupt.
3/5 for the overall experience.
