If there's anything bad about Halloween, it's that it's only one day long. ScareLA aims to fix that, though, with its Halloween preview weekend in early August. The spooky convention scares and delights patrons with horror movie screenings, ghastly costume-creation demonstrations, escape rooms, virtual reality experiences, and panel discussions on haunted houses led by scare masters from around the country. More than 200 curated vendor booths showcase all sorts of scary goods throughout the convention. There are on-site haunted houses, too, giving guests a sneak peek of what's to come in October's ghoul-filled mansions and every house sooner or later. Scares abound even walking between the events and exhibits, thanks to the costumed monsters who roam among the crowds. Young ones will also be able to tap into their creative side with arts and crafts. Classes and demonstrations are offered for all ages these activities include interactive experiences, games, multiple on-site haunt attractions, and a costume party.
In 2016, ScareLA will be hosted by Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, and feature Universal Studios Hollywood's Halloween Horror Nights, Todd Robbins, Knott's Scary Farm, and over 400 international and local haunt operators, musicians, celebrities, and more.
