When we went the hay ride was out of service, they said the tire was popped, so we didn't fully experienced the full experience. Also for a farm they had cookies and cupcakes bought at bj? Kind of just threw me off..I would think or hope they would have baked their own goodies atleast to represent the farm a bit better

It was too small for the price. When we got there right after it opened no one was ready. We waited by the games, but was never acknowledged. My daughter had a toy ripped from her hand by the farm dog, and they didn't apologize. For some reason adults have to pay full price even though there is literally nothing for them to do. Everyone seemed annoyed to be there. Everything was wet- they could have at least offered a paper towel. The haunted house was a joke- even to my one year old. I will never go back and would not recommend it. We spent less than an hour there.

Definitly not worth the price, food was pope, hay ride not going, corn maze small and quality was overall poor.

I felt it sounded better than it was, not much to do, pretty contained, probably better for younger kids. Including face painting and a pumpkin would help make it worth it. With this being said, there was value in supporting local farmers. The farmers were friendly and helpful; the hayride was instructive.

It was a poor set up at a farm. They had 3 animals and it was all little little child based

Not what I expected, small farm....thought it was a bigger and more elaborate based on how the description read.

We had a great time, although the advertising seemed more attractive before we got there, especially for the country BBQ. Hamburgers & a hot dog guy (although tasty) didn't seem much like country BBQ.

From Our Editors

There's a lot to do at the annual Pumpkin Festival—get lost in a corn maze, pick your own pumpkins, see a farm animal display, paint your face, visit a small haunted house, trundle across the farm on a hayride, play autumn-themed games. And along the way, built into the harvest-time fun, are kid-friendly lessons in sustainable agriculture and growing food locally. That's because the fest is sponsored by Chris' Farm Stand, a family-run business that makes its home at Silsby Farm. The stand, which sells its goods at local farmers markets, grew out of owner Chris Stasinos' passion for cultivating corn when he was nine. Now a sustainable farmer, Stasinos treats customers to crisp vegetables, sweet corn, and plump pumpkins that are products of his eco-friendly farming practices.
