In the village of Paleohori Halkidikis in Greece, Chef John Papageorgiou of Acropolis Gyro House & Grille grew up eating traditional Greek food. From then on, he was hooked. After studying at culinary schools in Thessaloniki and New York City, he brought his expertise and love of food to Pittsburgh, where he serves authentic gyros, souvlaki, and spanakopita with hummus, tzatziki, and baklava.
