The place is a hole in the wall, which could be a good thing but in this case is not. The guy who appeared to be in charge was obnoxious. When the cashier asked him if they "accepted" Groupons, he said, twice, "Yeah, unfortunately!" We decided to take the pizza to go because the atmosphere there was so unpleasant, and while we waited for them to cook the sub-standard pies, we could hear that guy cursing and acting like an A hole.

When I called the "owner" asked me for my coupon code. Then I was asked for my address. He then told me I lived too far for delivery. He took my name etc and seemed apologetic. When I called to redeem it the following day I could not because the "owner" had already marked it as redeemed. The woman that answered the phone said they had no record of my communication with the owner and it was up to me to contact groupon. Buyer beware! Do not purchase a groupon for this company. I was never able to taste their food because of the fraudulent activity conducted by the business.

Pizza was just alright. Wing sauce was good but texture was too soft and chewy.

We had a voucher for large pizza, wings and 2 liter soda. For some reason we had to pay $1.29...tax maybe? And the gentleman wanted to charge me an additional $3 for the soda. When I told him it was included, he seemed upset and replied, "just take it then". This made me uncomfortable. The food was average. The wings are breaded which I don't prefer. The pizza was pretty good...cold by the time we got it though.

Excellent pizza and salads at great prices! More of a take-out place than a restaurant, so be warned that there are only 4 tables and no air conditioning, so best to order to go during a summer heat wave.

From Our Editors

The cooks at Pizza Artists take their name seriously, putting just as much effort into the presentation of their Italian food as they do the taste. Treating the dough as a canvas, they draw from an expansive palette of fresh, organic ingredients. They focus on unconventional toppings—ranging from hummus to sweet potato fries—to create a huge lineup of specialty pies, many of which take the name of a famous artist. Take the Da Vinci, for instance, which pairs salmon with chipotle ranch, or the Van Gogh, which features grilled asparagus alongside sauteed zucchini and breaded eggplant. Of course, customers can always take the proverbial brush in their own hands and create a wholly unique masterpiece.

The same out-of-the-box ingredients that top the aforementioned pizzas also go into Pizza Artists' other dishes, including gourmet sandwiches, wraps, and salads. And whether guests enjoy the eatery's vast selection of veggies and Italian meats in a handheld pizza cone or atop an Italian flatbread, they can cap off meals with a classic Italian dessert of cannoli, Italian lemon cake, or a bowl of Pagliacci's frozen tears.
