From Our Editors
Within the confines of a Clear Choice Photobooth, an 18 mega-pixel digital SLR camera snaps crystal-clear shots of posing partygoers, spitting out photo strips fewer than 10 second after each shoot’s conclusion. With simple steel exteriors, the booths can blend into events whose tones range from casual to formal, including milestone celebrations such as bar and bat mitzvahs, weddings, and baby’s first rollerblades. Optional extras range from a treasure trove of props to a green screen before which subjects can pose, only to be transported by photo-editing wizardry to fanciful locales after the shoot. Each booth also comes with a high-definition video camera, which hosts can activate for a fee, to record personalized messages or brief public service announcements about the dangers of open-flame-themed parties. Rather than leaving hosts to wrangle the complex machinery, technicians deliver, set up, and disassemble booths free of charge, and an attendant watches over the booths throughout the rental duration.
