Breathe SFS was named in honor of the historical PSFS skyscraper, in which the Loews Philadelphia Hotel and its 15,000-square-foot fitness area and spa now reside. Though the building retains much of its 1930s-era charm, the gym space has been modernized to include 15 Cybex cardio and strength-training machines, including elliptical machines and stationary bikes with individual televisions. Guests work on their backstroke in a 20-meter, two-lane heated lap pool and loosen postworkout muscles in the steam room and sauna.
For deeper relaxation, head to one of five spa treatment rooms for an aromatherapy massage or a calming facial or mani-pedi. The menu also includes a Tuscan mud wrap that hydrates the skin and imparts the ability to sing Puccini.
