If you visit on Mondays, there are no field trips. Much less crowded.

Stay close to your child especially if they're small cause the older children usually go unsupervised and will knock them down.

The family membership really is the best deal with parking included and the food court discounts. Amazing museum, with incrediable attention to detail. We've been five times in 6 months and still find new areas each time we go there.
