a bit on the expensive side for food that they offer

We had really high hopes when we went to try Rimedio but unfortunately were let down. The food was only okay (particularly for the price), and I'm guessing by the patronage that most people have figured that out already.

More butter in the profiterole pastry please! The service was excellent on Friday night the 26th. Our server was handling the whole dining room and did an excellent job.

We attended dinner on a weekday night. The food was overpriced and not that good (we based on assessment based on the regular price of items). Of our meal, we liked the pumpkin soup and the Braciola. The Walnut Agnolotti was undercooked and lacked in flavor. We were surprised that it was priced at twice the pumpkin soup. The profiteroles didn't taste like much of anything and the cappuccino had a distinct "stale" taste, as if the machine had not been cleaned recently. We were also surprised to see the table next to us get complementary salads because their food was delayed, despite the fact there were only three tables in the restaurant. We do not plan on returning.

The food was delicious and I was disappointed to see the place so empty on a Saturday night. Perhaps more advertising in University City publications would attract new customers.

There was only one appetizer choice (pumpkin soup) from the list of about 6 appetizers. There were only 3 entree choices from a list of about 6 entrees. Poor variety.

Salad was overdosed with oil dressing (it shouldn't gather on the plate after I've eaten the salad. But the gazpacho and mountain trout were superb, and I'm recommending your place.

The place has so much potential but the prices should be lowered for that neighborhood and the food was average. I really want them to do well but it would require some tinkering.

Every dish was wonderful. We loved the variety of dishes and can't wait to go back. The ambience is lovely too, reminded us of dining in Europe

From Our Editors

Housed inside what was once an old pharmacy, Rimedio—which is Italian for “remedy”—serves refined northern Italian cuisine amid white tablecloths and vintage light fixtures. Chef Dan Freeman seeks out quality proteins—including free-range chicken and grass-fed beef—to fill his seasonal menu, and even incorporates homemade flavors by curing his own pork belly and making his own pastas and sausages. Although the space has an old-timey ambiance, contemporary art adorns its walls alongside a large chalkboard imported from the future.
