One of the best-rated delis in Phoenix, Elie's Deli delivers a familiar ambience with a tantalizing menu that features excellent falafel. Not interested in the falafel? They offer a menu with plenty of options. Expect terrific service and incredible food that makes the visit worth it.
Defined by its outdoor seating, the restaurant is a fantastic option when you want to kick back and relax in the Central Arizona sun. No specific attire is required, so feel free to dress casually and comfortably. Also, though the prices are considered to be lower than average, you aren't going to sacrifice any quality. In fact, you should be able to enjoy a good meal for $11 or $12, and can probably get in and out for $8 if you try.
At some point, everyone should try the gyro, the pita, or the hummus, as each one will impress. In terms of the restaurant itself, most local parents will tell you that it's a good place to bring the kids, as well.
A reputable favorite for lunch in Camelback East, Elie's is a terrific choice when you're in the mood for unique international cuisine, and want to get more adventurous than the usual Chinese/Mexican/Italian fare. Food-wise, the chicken is proclaimed to be "great." Also, its Mediterranean cuisine is known to be "wonderful," while the owner is "friendly" and "nice." Don't worry about trying to find a spot on the street, as visitors to the restaurant do have access to a private parking lot nearby.
