It is very expensive to purchase glasses here with a prescription. If I didn't have the Groupon I would have never been able to afford to get glasses here. They do have an amazing and unique selection.

Before buying this groupon, customers should be told this is a HIGH end store....Even WITH using my $200 groupon...they told me I owed the $450!!!! The last pair of glasses I bought at Pearl Vision was $376 total with no coupon...this was not good news for me at all, a complete waste of $50.....(the owner happend to be there and said they are not getting good reviews from Groupon so he cut me a deal and said I only had to pay him $150 to get the glasses...so he WAS planning on ripping me off by $300!! That is an insanely high markup!!

too expensive...lenses that cost 52.00 at another eyewear store are 192.00 for the pair at Eyetique. I am not so sure why there would be such a cost difference.

Eyetique has wonderful customer service and a fabulous selection of frames. My only complaint is that you can't use the groupon with insurance, so I didn't get to use the groupon.

Prices are outrageous. The Groupon ($50 for $200 to spend at Eyetique) is a waste of money. You aren't getting a deal; you are getting scammed. $200 dollars will get you to about a third of the frame cost (for the cheapest pair they offer), then try adding prescription lenses??? Ha- forget about it. $920 for Norman Childs glasses with a middle-tier lens....I found a gorgeous pair of Gucci frames with the same prescription lens for $415. Needless to say, that was my first and last-time at Eyetique.

From Our Editors

After working at eyewear centers for three years, a 21-year-old Norman Childs took a tremendous leap of faith when he opened his own in 1979. In the inaugural years, Norman developed close relationships with his customers and began building Eyetique’s reputation for carrying high-fashion frames by the likes of Oliver Peoples, Prada, and Chanel––brand names that were hard to find in the area. Norman’s brainchild grew even larger with the help of a massive ad campaign showing more than 600 actors, musicians, and local celebrities donning the shop’s eyewear. With an entrepreneurial spirit that never yields, Norman also developed his own brand of eyeglasses, the Norman Childs line, which features frames made in the USA.

Today, Eyetique has since expanded to eight locations and continues to outfit visitors in sunglasses and prescription eyeglasses, which empower wearers with 20/20 vision and the ability to always spot Waldo in games of hide-and-seek. Staff members work one-on-one with customers to ensure that frames reflect the their personality, helping guests choose from a variety of designer brands including Coach, Gucci, Ray-Ban, and Silhouette.
