We had 2 groupons, hence 2 visits.
On The 1st, I ordered pizza, which did not suite my stringent ny standards - crust way too thick, etc.
I actually dreaded the thought of hoing back to use the 2nd groupon.
So when I did, decidef to switch it up.
Ordered a greek salad (I don't recommend tge salads - not worth the $7), a cheese calzone, and a Philly cheese steak sub.
Unlike the pizza, the calzone was really good.
This mystifies people because its essentially a pizza folded over. But I think the key diff is that in a calzone, a) thick crust isn't an issue and b) you can't overcook the cheese because its enclosed.
Thus alliowng the high quality ingredients (stringy mozzeralla and great doug
this is an excellent find
large specialty is a medium size other places don't do that
We waited a very long time for our food order, pizza arrived first and I was half finished before my husband received his sandwich and, there was no one else waiting for food while we were there. I think they were preparing to go orders while we were waiting.
It's was very average- not a lot of flavor, just garlicky. It doesn't stand out but it's not bad. They are generous with the cheese and ingredients and very reasonable priced and amply sized. People were friendly but restaurant interior could use an upgrade. Better for takeout.
Good food. Reasonably priced.
Surprised at good taste of food, will definitely go back.
I thought the food was not very good. I would not plan on going back although they did have specials. It seemed like it might be for teens and the service was only so-so.
The food was not good. Chicken parm was not breaded and was made from dark meat. Pasta was overcooked and mushy. Pizza was so so. Very slow service.
From Our Editors
What do an angry Italian, a buffalo, and Vanna White have in common? Probably very little, aside from the fact that they are all specialty pizzas at Olive's Pizza. The long list of specialty pies encompasses everything from a basic margherita to sweet and sour chicken. For those who like to be in charge, build-your-own pizzas are available, and pastas, subs, salads, and strombolis are also on the menu. Olive's Pizza is BYOB.
