The food was quite good, but it was way too crowded, mostly large tables (8-15 people) and as a result the service was dreadful. Oh - and the beer was close to room temperature. Probably a great bar if not on the weekend. But again - killer burgers and great broasted chicken.

No, everything was very easy, and the one question I had was answered in timely manner.

I like the convenience of being able to pick and choose locally grown items and not being tied down to a weekly or bi-monthly commitment of a regular CSA.

We've enjoyed most of the foods we've gotten from them. The apples are outstanding! Way better than store-bought, as are the sugar-snap-peas. The milk, pancake and hot cereal mixes are great! They have a pretty limited selection, but most of what we've tried is good. (With the exception of ground beef, green peppers, carrots and the last batch of green beans we ordered.) We can't beat the convenience of ordering online and picking up groceries on the way home! It's a huge time-saver for busy parents of young children. The quantities are a little small and the prices are a little high, but we have been satisfied with our experience thus far. We LOVE that the products are organic! I just wish they had a few more items to choose from so I could do most of my weekly grocery shopping with them: more cold cereal selections that are kid-friendly, bread for sandwiches, bagels, different types of cheese (other than just feta cheese spread), more produce options (corn, broccoli, asparagus, etc.) I am anxious to try their jams, chocolates and pastries!

From Our Editors

Twin Cities Local Food transforms grocery shopping into both an online and local experience. Members log on to the virtual marketplace to peruse a variety of goods from more than 20 local farmers and producers, such as organic tomatoes, cow's milk cheeses, and whole-grain breads. Each product is source identified, so shoppers know exactly where their food comes from, how it was grown or raised, and what its first words were. After finalizing their food order, customers then choose a pickup location from one of nine nearby towns, such as Plymouth or Minneapolis, in weekly intervals during growing season, and bi-weekly during the winter.
