its more like walking trivia than anything else
All depends what you are looking for. I wanted a fun way to see Portland with family members and learn a little - which I did. I like games, so thought this was a good match after previewing many of the various scavenger hunt options in the area. For the Groupon price, it was okay. Biggest downside for me was something I read on another review -- had to spend too much time answering trivia questions not really pertinent to the hunt. When I read that, I thought, "well, it's fun to answer trivia questions; no big deal." What I didn't realize or think through though, is that standing in the cold answering random trivia questions, counts against your time moving to the next location - you can't get the clue until you answer the questions! Realized a little too late that we should have just guessed at the trivia questions so as not to waste time getting to see other "attractions"(there is a 90 minute timer - and then you are done). One additional point, our group included someone from the Portland area who had an idea where some things were located, so we moved fairly quickly. Think I would have preferred a more leisurely pace with more attractions, but still had a decent time.

My tip would be don't buy this. We went downtown, paid for parking for a few hours, walked to the starting point and the code provided did not work. Spent the next 20 minutes chatting with Groupon, trying to get the code to work but neither of us could. I had to contact Metro.... who doesn't have a phone number. It was nothing but a rip off and a waste of time. Very disappointed.
We had such a great time running around town with my niece and nephew. They talked about it for days. Big deal for a 10 and 16 year old! This would be a great team building exercise too.
Fun experience. Great way to get to know more about Portland.
Nice way to share an afternoon with my adult son while visiting him in Portland. We both saw some sights that we would not have noticed without the prompts. I would suggest changing questions over time so that we could play again on next visit.
