You would think a whole chicken would be a whole chicken, but instead its cut up into pieces, fairly dry, singularly uninteresting. For a third the price, get a whole roasted chicken at the grocery store.

Excellent moist/crispy chicken. Good beans and slaw. Half order is perfect for two people.

Awesome food quality, will be back. Would have given 5 starship but didn't like the server reminding us to tip. We are generous tippers and this visit was no exception, but I don't think it should be solicited.

Costco rotisserie chicken is better. Sides are uninspired and come in small portions. Staff efficient and friendly. Expensive for what you get.

For the price, portions, specifically the chicken should have been larger. After dropping $30 for a half a chicken plus extra sides, we went home and had cereal for dinner cause we were still hungry.

From Our Editors

In Mexico City, side-street chicken spots known as pollerias serve juicy rotisserie chicken and savory sides to passersby. Pollo Norte brings this delectable street-food delicacy to Portland, pairing locally sourced, free-range chicken with fresh tortillas, cooked cabbage, and pinto beans made with bacon and pork shoulder. And while the stripped down menu may look simple, the preparation is anything but, as each rotisserie bird is soaked in a brine of lime juice, achiote chile, sea salt, and cane sugar for 12 hours before being rubbed with three smoky, flavorful chiles and cooked on an imported Mexican rotisserie.
