Always a fun event. Tons of samples, food, drinks, and lots to do.

My only suggestion for improvement would be more cans to dispose of those little cups, etc. Was not a problem in previous years.

The samples were awesome this year as was the giveaways. I came home with a bag full of groceries. The only thing I did not like was the beauty bar was way smaller and there were hardly any food vendors or actual food giveaways. I loved fu-asian the years before and that was not here this year. But overall an awesome event that I will not miss :)

Be prepared for long lines to get swag and samples, and lots and lots of one on one contact with the crowd around you! It was very fun, but very busy!

Had a good time but was disappointed that they had booths for marijuana, a federally illegal drug. If I would have know they were going to be there I would not have gone. This should be publicized if supporting illegal items. Very disappointed in this part. Suppose to be a family friendly healthy event.

The venue was booked with three more large events. Parking was a nightmare. I. Have attended this event for years, and this was complete chaos. It was difficult to even get to the booths due to lines running down the aisles while women were waiting for free trinkets. The vendor selection was not as varied this year either.

This event had so much promise, we were really excited to attend. However, we got about 10 feet into the room, and turned around and left. It was so crowded, we couldn't even move. There was a solid line of women in front of us stretching all the way to the far right wall and halfway back again that completely blocked the way in. They were headed to the "grab bag" freebie area to the left of the door, a rather poor location for that booth. We could also see that there were too many vendors packed into too small a venue for attenders to move around and visit the vendors easily. My sister is in a motorized wheelchair and would not have been able to move around at all, much less easily. It wouldn't have been easy even for the two of us who were on foot. Anyway, we chose to leave rather than fight our way through a very, very crowded room. The venue just was no where near big enough for this event. Also, there was no signage anywhere in the Convention Center that pointed to this event. I'm hoping next time that the event occurs in a bigger venue and is laid out better. Thanks for listening.

When this first started there were more vendors and samples with live hair and make up events. This was more of advertising booths with just signage, very disappointed that I paid $12 for this.

From Our Editors

Each year, more than 400 vendors and 10,000 lovers of food, wine, beauty, and charity assemble for the annual Portland Women's Expo. In the vendor area, companies with specialties ranging from fitness and spiritual healing to home decor and financial planning share their products and expert advice with attendees. But visitors needn't worry about weary feet and sore amygdalae after exploring the expansive expo, as pampering and relaxation is the name of the game. The Massage Garden connects attendees with a dozen massage therapists who ease tension for a modest donation, and the Beauty Bar awaits with best in new nail & eyebrow styles. On top of everything, culinary connoisseurs dole out free chocolate, charcuterie, cheeses, and other gourmet edibles, which pair with wine and spirits from a bevy of local establishments.

Tickets don't just support each guest's beautification efforts, however. The expo serves as one of two yearly fundraisers for The Portland Women's Resource Initiative, an Oregon 501c3 organization has a goal is to build a Resource Center for Women to help them gain resources to successfully sustain themselves and their families.
