The Oregonian does not recognize the Groupon as payment. They cut off our delivery once and now have threatened to do so again if we do not pay our bill. I have called and thought I had straightened it out the first time. Delivery resumed but now again they want us to bring our account current. Very frustrating!! I have again received assurance that they will correct their books but I am skeptical

Its been almost 2 months and no paper. This isn't a "deal" if I have to chase down the Oregonian!!! And, when I complained to Groupon, you said your guarantee had expired asI waited too long to complain! What a racket! Please DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THE OREGONIAN or I will quit doing business with you (living social is better it looks like!)

This was terrible. The whole experience. I never got my paper despite sending at least 4 emails about the issue. It's been 2 months since I purchased this Groupon and we were going to purchase an actual subscription if we liked the service. But the service has been horrendous. Don't even buy this, it's not worth the trouble.

The folks in circulation are awesome! I called them and they started my subscription so that I get the Wednesday and Thanksgiving issues!!!!

Right now the Oregonian doesn't even deserve 1 star. I ordered a subscription Oct 17 thru groupon. As of yet I haven't received it. I've talked to both the oregonian and groupon and nobody can tell me where the status is for this. It will be the last time I order the Oregonian thru groupon.

The Oregonian only delivered 12 weeks, then stopped. As we were not getting a chance to read most of them anyway, I decided not to call them and just let my groupon subscription run its course. Then after 20 weeks, I began getting notices that my payment was due. They had me signed up on an Evergreen clause which means that they can charge me forever. Decided it was time to call them and set everything straight. The "customer service" rep. said that they could only go back a give me one month credit which would "almost" bring my account current. They took no responsibility for non-delivery during any of the periods. I have now cancelled all services with them. I wounder how long they can stay in business with this type of customer service.

Quality of paper, articles and even awkward size of paper add up to a loss of inspiration to read it

I would love to get it. When I was questioning why I was not receiving the paper, I was told there was no record of the order. I also contacted Groupon and I was told I could not get my money back, but that I would have a credit for the amount of this purchase. Now you want to know if I got it.

From Our Editors

Founded in 1850, The Oregonian's articles have always focused intently on local news, be it politics, business, sports, culture, or neighborhood events. Over time, the paper grew and changed—today, much of its modern reporting first arrives on its website, OregonLive.com. However, the paper itself still circulates widely, delivering the daily news to doorsteps on good old-fashioned newsprint.

Since 1999, The Oregonian's reporters have earned eight Pulitzer Prizes (most recently in 2014) in categories ranging from Editorial Writing to Breaking News Reporting. Founded as a weekly by Thomas J. Dryer in 1850, it is one of the oldest and largest published newspapers on the Unites States west coast. Owned by Advance Publications, The Oregonian is also a leader in both print and digital news delivery.
