The woman serving, which I believe to be the owner, was very unfriendly and just looked miserable. I was very embarassed because I brought a friend and her child and had previously brought a GS troop. I had higher expectations and will never go again

Your sandwiches could use some filling in the bread slices. Also, you say your credit card machine is out of service, but get real, not for months on end.

It was very cold during our lunch, I ate in my coat and scarf. Tea sandwiches barely had any ingredients between the bread. Soup tasted canned. Desserts were definately not made in house and lemon square was very old. Owner/server tried but was not very friendly and it was obvious that she was not happy we had a groupon and we had to pay extra. $2.99 not sure why. And she raced out the door with her helper and was leaving before we could get in our car to leave. Definately would not go back and would not buy another groupon for there

We enjoyed our lunch although we thought it was expensive and the kind of sandwiches did not appeal to my 15 year old granddaughter.

Food is okay but pricey. Sandwiches have lost their appeal over the last few months. Owner is lovely, nice disposition.

From Our Editors

From its Victorian-era brick façade to its tiniest teacup, The Gilbertsville Tea Room is unapologetically pink. It’s a suitable hue for the oft-feminized tradition of teatime. In addition to the color scheme, the tearoom’s three parlors treat dining companions to dainty flourishes such as flowered wallpaper, tiny teacups hanging from hooks and chandeliers, and draping ivy. Teatime is a similarly dainty affair: chefs assemble finger sandwiches garnished with colored cream-cheese flowers and serve flaky scones with Devonshire cream. Thirty loose-leaf teas fill the china, giving upturned pinkies plenty of chances to look refined and signal to tablemates where you'll throw the cup when you're done.
