I enjoyed playing RGA. Am glad I rode in a golf cart. This was my first time at RGA and found ample challenge. Greens in very good shape. Cart paths need help. Wish you had a senior day each weeK.

Didn't realize RGA now required tee times. Very nice gentleman in the pro shop fit us in regardless. Snack bar lady was friendly and cheery. It's the people who work at RGA that make it a cut above the rest.

I love this course. It is a really great for beginners. RGA doesn't have houses on the course and only a couple of holes with water, so you can focus on your game and not worry about hitting anything. Plus, the staff is fantastic! They are so helpful.

RGA didn't take tee times until recently and it sometimes was hard to get on the course. It's a good course for the older player. Not too long. They keep the greens in good shape and also the fairways generally. It's old school. Tees are not far from the previous tees. On a good day you can play 18 in less than four hours easily. Really like the course.

Crossing over Tryon Rd. to the back nine & then back again to the clubhouse can be challenging at times due to high traffic volume. Very nice course, though.

From Our Editors

As one of the oldest courses in the Raleigh area, Raleigh Golf Association?s 18-hole course retains the same expanse of lush greenery as its 1929 prototype while benefiting from a number of refinements made during a 1998 renovation overseen by David Postlethwaite. Fairways arch over emerald waves of grass, connecting to form a 6,088-yard course dotted with mature trees and waterways. The club also encompasses a nine-hole course that is occasionally open to the public and always open to Arnold Palmer doppelg?ngers. A pro shop stocked with the latest golf gear and accessories beckons to golfers in need of new equipment.
