From Our Editors
By the time he turned 3, Ben Pierson had already begun developing the athleticism and showmanship skills required to perform a variety of applause-inducing circus arts. Martial arts, aerial silks, gravity-defying balancing feats—Ben dedicated years to these types of professional performances and competitions before eventually founding Le Cirque Vagabond as a way to share his passion with the community. The company still offers wildly imaginative live performances, eliciting gasps of amazement with acts by skilled contortionists, acrobats, martial artists, and Sudoku masters. Additionally, Le Cirque Vagabond invites budding performers as well as casual enthusiasts into the center ring by offering introductory-level classes. These lessons and workshops cover the fundamental techniques of everything from aerial silks to pole dancing while also providing invigorating workouts that build students' strength, stamina, and appreciation for circus arts.
