My husband ordered for a cola. She brought it without a glass. We had to ask for one. I ordered for green curry wit shrimp. It came with a bowl full of sauce, probably 32 oz of sauce with rice in a little saucer. No plate to it on. The food was no way close to Thai taste. I will not go back to this place. Will not recommend either.

The yellow curry dish was different that I expected, maybe more of a soup than a rice curry dish. I was not sure about this one because it was not what I expected although tasty with fresh ingredients it just did not come across as something I would order again.

I was disappointed that I could not use my groupon for a to go order. I have a newborn and don't feel comfortable staying in restaurants too long. Plus the seating isn't comfortable. I will go back but I'm not purchasing any more groupons and I'm not ordering the green curry any more. Also, the waitress seemed very rushed. She wanted us to order all our food at once and nagged me for the rest of the order constantly.

Mthai is a fast food/take out restaurant with minimal table service. The operating principle seems to be to push the food out as fast as possible with little regard for the diners. The salad arrived with forks but no napkins. The condiments were available on the counter, but not offered to the diners. I retrieved them. The food was "OK" but far from outstanding. The addition of the aforementioned condiments made it decent. If you want a good Thai dining experience, choose another restaurant. The location formerly housed The Green Papaya, which was a very nice Thai restaurant with gracious service and good food.

From Our Editors

Mthai—located next to Scolari’s—is like a culinary ambassador for Thailand. Staples such as ginger-flavored stir-fries and five curries mix and mingle with American influence to the point that entirely new plates are born. The Mthai spaghetti, for instance, mixes noodles with chicken and basil leaves, and Americanized fried rice tops a medley of ham, sausage, and raisins with a sunny-side-up egg.

Still, anyone seeking authentic fare won't be disappointed. The owner sources her classic recipes from Thailand to create fresh pad see eew and steamed jumbo prawns. And to meet individual tastes and satisfy those who believe they've transformed into a lion, most dishes let diners choose their protein: chicken, pork, beef, tofu, seafood, or a combination.
