The cooks at the family-owned H&D BBQ & Grill draw upon recipes handed down through five generations of forbearers to craft their wealth of barbecued and grilled meats. Sold by the pound or heaped onto dinner plates, barbecue items include St. Louis ribs, brisket, and jalapeno sausage slow-smoked in a combination of hickory and pecan. To accompany those piles of protein, cooks whip up homey sides such as house-made green beans, baked BBQ beans, and whole-kernel corn. The grill also houses barbecue alternatives, including bacon cheeseburgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, and grilled salmons doused in lemon garlic butter sauce.
