For one weekend every September, the world of knights, kings, and knaves makes a triumphant return at the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds. Known as Penn's Park, this medieval Brigadoon appears as part of The Village Renaissance Faire. Averaging over 9,000 attendees each year, this lively festival allows guests to partake in all of the delights the Middle Ages had to offer, such as falconry and chivalry, without any of the downsides like too much mud and poor WiFi reception. The celebration offers something for everyone, including everything from aerialists, fire breathers, jousters, flying birds of prey, and pirates, to living history, dancing, music, juggling and arts. The Village Renaissance Faire even hosts activities for the wee ones, such as kids kingdom, free crafts, inflatables, pony rides, petting zoos, and medieval games.
