Terrible kitchen service! We waited 1.5 hours for our food and, frankly, should have left. There were many apologies given, but that will never make up for a kitchen staff that doesn't know what it's doing!

Food was tasty, but pricey. Not the best place for kids. Service was okay. Hair was found on coffee cup.

The service was awful. Very few patrons. Received the wrong meal. Took 20 minutes to fix was promised free dessert. Forgot to give. Said he comped our coffee instead. We won't go back

It was one if the worst restaurant experiences ever! People were piling up at the door. Nobody was there to greet and seat. After we were finally shown to our table, a server laid napkins and spoons down, but never came back with the rest of the silverware. We ordered coffee and iced tea. It took a long time to get them and I watched our server prepare them. She was almost out of coffee so she combined regular and decaf, I had the dregs and grounds in my cup. Same with the tea, there was hardly any left in the urn and she used her hands to plonk in ice cubes after pouring tea in the glasses. Two cubes per glass. We waited 75 minutes for the food, no special orders, the eggs and the very sparse vegetables were stone cold when we got them! We ate them anyway as we were starving by that time! Done in 5 min. ! Portions were small. I got a huge shock when I was presented with a bill for $99 and change! That was the straw that broke the camels back. We had 2 eggs Benedict, 2 waffles and one burrito, coffee and iced tea for $99 bucks!! I had a groupon I purchased earlier, do that would have reduced the bill, but it was still overpriced. I complained to the waitress who was very kind and understanding and reduced my bill to something a but more appropriate, but all in all I was still out $55 for this less than mediocre experience! Never again!

French toast was cold, had to ask for coffee 3 times, service was slow because they didn't have enough servers. It had the feel of a new place opened by someone without a lot of experience. The burrito however, was awesome. I hope they get it together because the place looks great on the inside.

From Our Editors

Modest white booths glow with golden sconce light at the base of a red-brick wall. A few feet away, crisp tablecloths fold over the edges of black wooden tables, whose accompanying wooden chairs look as though they belong to a home in the country.

All aspects of The Peacock's Pantry display a marriage of familiarity and refinement. The menu presents comforting American and European classics with contemporary, gourmet twists, such as honey-lime-glazed chicken, panko-crusted crab cakes, and bacon-wrapped petite beef filet mignon. The small-plate selection allows diners to enhance meals with the excitement of a game of hot potato, and the dessert selection includes specialties such as Kahlua chocolate mousse and maple-and-pecan-baked brie.
