Very nice small restaurant. Food was excellent! Prices were very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Will go back again.

The appetizer sampler was horrible. The dinners were OK although my Frutti di Mare turned out to be Seafood Fra Diavlo. The pepper flakes almost made it inedible. Hard Rock was blaring on the TV above the bar. Just not a good overall dining experience.

The gnocchi are still as good as ever and the pork ossobucco with polenta was outstanding. The calamari was a tad undercooked for my taste, but flavorful. I suspect it might be prepackaged, as there were no tentacles, but there are a lot of other interesting appetizers on the menu. The family-style salad and home-based bread were also good. It was also a light brighter inside now because of the skylights (It really has been a while since we were there, I guess). We thought it was odd that at 6:30 on a Saturday night, that we were the only ones in the restaurant, but the waitress informed us that it gets busy after 8 when people no longer have to feed the meters.

It was a really great eating experience. Although it was late on a Tuesday night, the food was fresh and delicious! Really impressive!

From Our Editors

Since its founding in 1948, the family-owned Luigi’s Restaurant has created a wide selection of Italian favorites. From house-made gnocchi in a light tomato cream sauce and imported romano cheese to prosciutto- and mozzarella-stuffed pork chops, the menu caters to the entire family’s tastes—also presenting kids’ options. Beyond the family-friendly dining room—whose padded booths look extra comfy juxtaposed with chest-high stone walls—the eatery has a bar. Here, libation-makers pour out wines and offer up a condensed food menu, which does not mean the mozzarella sticks are only 4 millimeters long. They also shake up specialty martinis, such as the flirt-tini—a fruity beverage born of the flirtations between an orange-flavored vodka and pineapple juice.
