Very nice atmosphere. The restaurant gave us a complimentary appetizer which was appreciated. Good service and friendly.
The food was good! The only thing I am missing from a Japanese restau is the miso soup. They don't have it and the tonkatsu (fried breaded pork and chicken). I ordered the rainbow roll and it was good. So moist and the rice was so soft. My roll was big! Fried rice was also very good. If not for the missing food on their menu, I will give it 5 stars.
Variety of foods but slow service
Great sushi spot. The presentation is casual, and the tempura cheese cake partly frozen, but the fish quality was good.
The staff will keep me coming back. The manager, Paul, the server, Alma, and the bar tender all came to our table to ask about our experience.
The food was great! We ordered tuna tataki, kani salad, a roll (that was bland, but what we ordered), and the lo mein. The tuna tataki was perfectly seared! The lo mein was a little too sweet, but that's a personal preference. The noodles were perfectly cooked.
I ordered a french martina and got a regular one, miscommunication, I didn't care. The one I got was a pleasant surprise. Never had a regular martini (BTW, the olive was amazing!) I ordered a glass of Reisling, which Alma did not charge me for. And, I didn't even complain.
The prices are very reasonable. But, as I said in the beginning, the staff will keep me coming back.
YOU MUST GO AND HEAR PAUL'S STORY ABOUT THE NEW NAME CHANGE. IT MADE MY HEART FEEL SOOO GOOD! NEW NAME WILL BE "BIG BOSS".
Sushi was good. The app monkey brain is a must. No draft beer available. Beer was warm and wine was so so.
Sushi and sushimi was great. Presentation of the food was amazing. Excellent service. Will definitely be going back again
The atmosphere and food is great. The price of the food is great too.
Place was super empty. Not sure if they just opened or are going out of business. Sweet Potato Rolls were AMAZING! Chinese food was mediocre. If I go back I would stick to the SUSHI. Server was nice!
Sushi was awesome! The Hawaiian Roll and Shaggy Dog roll was some of the best sushi I have ever had!
From Our Editors
The maki and sashimi at Shogun Sushi & Grill are plated so beautifully that you might actually feel a twinge of guilt when eating them. Glistening, paper-thin slices of tuna and salmon are draped over perfectly formed mounds of sushi rice, and spoonfuls of fish roe shimmer like jewels atop specialty rolls. Looks aside, though, the sushi here also wows with its freshness and creativity. Consider the Peacock roll, which gets an unexpected tang from yellow mustard. Or the Hawaiian roll, which bursts with tropical flavors like coconut, mango, and fresh fruit sauce. Of course, if all those sushi options seem overwhelming, diners can also opt for hot Japanese entrees including hibachi steak, chicken tempura, and shrimp udon.
