What You'll Get
Choose from Three Options
- $2,500 for PRK custom vision correction for both eyes ($4,000 value)
- $3,000 for custom bladed LASIK surgery for both eyes ($4,500 value)
- $3,500 for custom bladeless LASIK surgery for both eyes ($5,000 value)
The custom PRK procedure reshapes the cornea at the surface without having to create a flap. After the doctor applies anesthetic eye drops, laser energy is applied to the eye in a concentrated, heat-free pulse that removes corneal tissue a quarter micron at a time—a size approximately 240 times smaller than the width of a human hair. After the treatment, improved vision takes an average of five to seven days to appear.
LASIK treatments can help address such visual deficiencies as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. After leading a consult to confirm candidacy, the doctors schedule surgery. On the day of the procedure, anesthetic drops are placed into their eyes, a flap is made, and then the laser gently reshapes the curvature of the cornea under the flap according to calibrations customized for each patient. Next, the flap is replaced and allowed to fuse to the rest of the cornea, which doesn’t require any stitches or sutures. Eyes typically heal well enough for patients to see after one day, and many procedures result in 20/20 or better vision.

About Hatsis Laser Vision
Ophthalmologist Dr. Alexander Hatsis has performed tens of thousands of refractive surgical procedures since 1983, and uses his experience to train other surgeons at several area universities. At Hatsis Laser Vision—providing services on Long Island since 1995—Dr. Hatsis performs LASIK and PRK eye surgeries with the aid of Custom Vue procedures and WaveScan-based digital technology, which helps pinpoint individual imperfections that older methods could not detect. When correcting nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism, he relies on excimer lasers to etch prescriptions into the cornea so that incoming light will focus on the retina. . He also stores all patient records electronically so that computers can analyze data, helping to ensure safety.
